Find purpose and impact

As our new Regional Library Services Coordinator, you will make an impact by playing an essential role in developing Library and Information Services for the Macquarie Regional Library (MRL) service area of Dubbo Regional Council, Warrumbungle Shire Council and Narromine Shire Council. The position is responsible for planning and coordination of relevant regional customer and information services, programs, projects and training.

You'll Make An Impact By

  • Leading a collaborative and mutually supportive relationship with regional stakeholders.
  • Delivering excellence in regional library services and customer experience and regularly review strategies, policies, programs and processes.
  • Providing leadership in delivering high-quality regional services, programs, customer experiences, and engagement that enhance information skills, knowledge, and digital literacy outcomes.
  • Contributing to developing the MRL Strategic Plan, Budget, Delivery Program and Operational Plan.
  • Contributing to Collections Management processes and policy support.
  • Coordinating the regional staff training program plan and staff coaching support.

What You'll Bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:
  • Degree or Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Science with eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) or degree-level qualification in a related area with extensive relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in developing and delivering high-quality library and information services, preferably in a public library environment
  • Extensive experience in reviewing and evaluating library services and programs
  • Demonstrated experience in library marketing and social media strategies
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills to work collaboratively across a regional library service

  • Demonstrated understanding of current and emerging issues, trends and technologies

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $96,537 to $112,191.
