Why We Need You

As the Regional Capacity Services (RCS) Coordinator, you'll play a central role in delivering projects under the current phase of the Australian Government's Natural Heritage Trust in the Central West region. You will coordinate all aspects of program reporting—from quarterly and annual updates to short and mid-term outcome reports—and lead the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities. Working closely with our project teams, you will provide administrative and strategic support, ensuring data and insights drive sustainable agriculture and environmental outcomes.

The role is ideal for someone with strong project management, MERI and stakeholder engagement skills and a knack for telling the story of how we are making progress against our outcomes through the analysis of data.

Our ideal candidate will have a positive and solution-focused attitude, operate autonomously with limited supervision, and can simply get things done.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As the RCS Coordinator, you'll lead key NHT program requirements, ensuring the dynamic delivery of the program. Your responsibilities include:

  • Annual revision and updating of Central West LLS NRM Plan and leading the mid-term Plan review.
  • Active participation in internal and external communities of practice, advisory groups, and information-sharing forums.
  • Managing the RCS operating budget and associated activities.
  • Coordination of reporting and maintenance of service delivery evidence.
  • Leading our teams through the project mid-term outcomes review process.
  • Supporting and actively planning for community participation in project delivery.
  • Assisting Project Managers in implementing the Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, and Improvement (MERI) Framework.
To Excel In This Position, You'll Need Experience In
  • Project Coordination: Ability to efficiently lead and coordinate various program requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of the National Heritage Trust program.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to conduct workshops, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and maintain productive relationships with Australian Government Departments.
  • Strategic Planning: Capability to maintain the currency of natural resource management planning, prioritise management actions, and actively participate in communities of practice and advisory groups.
  • Financial Management: Proficiency in managing budgets, overseeing project invoicing and financial procedures, and providing guidance on procurement and contract management.
  • Community Collaboration: Skills to support and plan for community participation in project delivery, fostering a collaborative approach and ensuring active involvement.
  • Communication and Reporting: Ability to deliver effective project communication activities and support Project Managers in implementing the Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, and Improvement (MERI) Framework.
  • Relationship Management: Establishing and maintaining a productive, cooperative, and ongoing relationship with Australian Government Departments, acting as a key liaison contact.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensuring appropriate governance frameworks are maintained, meeting performance criteria, and ensuring compliance with Grants Guidelines.
  • Record-Keeping: Meticulous attention to detail in maintaining records, key registers, and program documentation, adhering to record-keeping standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Commitment to maintaining Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, ensuring a safe working environment.
Essential Requirements
  • A degree in agricultural, environmental, natural resource management, biosecurity, or emergency management, or equivalent industry knowledge and experience.
  • Current NSW Driver Licence with the ability and willingness to travel.
  • Willingness to undergo a police check and medical clearance.
