Join our dynamic Software Support team as a Software Technical Support Engineer for our Pacific Zone ANZ. The role requires 1-2 years of experience in Application Support, and offers a hybrid work model (3 days in-office) at our SMART office, Macquarie Park, along with benefits.

About the opportunity:

Supporting customers in the Industrial Automation sector within our Pacific Zone of Australia and New Zealand, the successful candidate will ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot faults, and support products including GeoSCADA, AVEVA System Platform, and AVEVA Plant SCADA. The role involves collaboration across teams to enhance customer experience.

Key responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve complex software issues, propose workarounds
  • Document activities and findings accurately in case management systems
  • Contribute to digital self-help materials and internal knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with other support centers and departments
  • Ensure positive customer interactions through empathetic communication
  • Engage in continuous learning and team contribution
About you:

Candidates should have 2-4 years of Application Support experience, preferably within an ASX top 100 company, with understanding of software architecture, SDLC, and automation hardware communications. A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.

Key skills and experience:
  • Experience with AVEVA System Platform and Plant SCADA or GEO SCADA is advantageous
  • Understanding of Windows OS, networking, and security
  • Ability to troubleshoot using Windows tools and commands
  • Experience with hardware-software integration
  • Self-motivated, quick thinker, focused on customer satisfaction
