Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for multiple Disability Support Traineeships located with our host employers in Adelaide and all surrounding areas.

These positions are part time. As a trainee, you will complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), this is a 12-month Traineeship.

Position Information

As a Disability Support Trainee you will undertake the following tasks:

  • Supporting people with complex and high needs.
  • Act as a mentor, help people to set goals, share and discuss common experiences with people.
  • Provide appropriate levels of support to maintain and improve the clients level of independent functioning including participation in the community.
  • Respond to the client's needs and collaborate positively with their families, support people and others in their lives.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of activities via progress notes.
Position Requirements

To be considered for this position, the following is required:

  • Ability and willingness to work with high needs clients.
  • The ability to form respectful, positive relationships with our clients and follow support plans.
  • The ability to help with the enhancement of daily life skills, support in relation to personal care and accessing the community.
  • Be punctual and have a good work ethic.
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical.
  • Hold a current Driver's Licence.
  • Satisfactorily pass a Working with Children Check and Police clearance.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a First Aid qualification.
  • Be available to start ASAP.
