GenesisCare is now looking for a Full Time Cancer Care Pharmacist to join our team at our North Shore Health Hub located in St Leonards. A rotation to our Frenchs Forest site for 6 months is required and travel to our other Metro Clinics is also required. As the Cancer Care Pharmacist, you are responsible for providing specialist clinical pharmacy services to patients receiving treatment at GenesisCare medical oncology centres.

On offer is a 12-month maximum term contract.

More specifically, you will:

  1. Dispense medication, including chemotherapy to patients.
  2. Conduct clinical review of treatment orders in MOSAIQ.
  3. Approve chemotherapy orders for preparation or supply.
  4. Release aseptically prepared products.
  5. Manage inventory and process pharmacy invoices.
  6. Provide medication counselling and participate in pre-admission clinics.
  7. Be an active member of a multidisciplinary team.
  8. Contribute to GenesisCare's governance activities through medication safety and Quality Use of Medicines.
  9. Ensure that all administration and documentation requirements are initiated and completed in a professional and timely manner.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  1. General unrestricted pharmacy registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and commitment to patient-focused pharmacy practice.
  2. Minimum of three years of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in an oncology/haematology setting.
  3. Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
  4. Ability to coordinate clinical pharmacy services.
  5. An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Flexibility to work across all sites in the greater Sydney area.
