Job Overview

The Specialist Pharmacist - Cancer Care is responsible for performing advanced clinical pharmacy tasks in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews, therapeutic drug monitoring, and optimisation of cancer therapies to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication use.
  • Oversee the end-to-end medication management process, including reviewing, validating, compounding, dispensing, and checking of chemotherapy and supportive medicines.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to pharmacists, interns, and pharmacy technicians to promote clinical excellence, performance optimisation, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and maintain standards of practice, clinical guidelines, and formulary processes.
About You / Qualifications:
  • Registered Pharmacist with AHPRA, eligible for Grade 2 classification under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award.
