Specialist Pharmacist


Job Description
  • Perform comprehensive medication review, therapeutic drug monitoring, and optimisation of cancer therapies to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication use.
  • Oversee the end-to-end medication management process—reviewing, validating, compounding, dispensing, and checking of chemotherapy and supportive medicines—to support timely therapy initiation and facilitate smooth patient flow within oncology wards and outpatient clinics.

This position is based at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre (TKCC), a joint facility between St Vincent's Hospital Sydney and The Garvan Institute of Medical Research.

The TKCC Pharmacy provides services to the Nelune Outpatient Day Clinic, as well as clinical services to a dedicated inpatient Haematology and BMT unit, and supports medical oncology inpatients across the hospital.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Pharmacist with AHPRA (no conditions on practice)
  • Eligible for Grade 2 classification under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award
  • Available for weekend and on-call rostered duties as required
