Overview

In the role of Project Management Office Lead (Transformation), you will manage the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to deliver independent assurance across program delivery, risk mitigation, and benefits realisation. Your role will drive robust assurance, governance, and performance frameworks that underpin the successful delivery of Council's transformation programs, including the Transforming Boroondara program. This role will foster effective communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders and serve as a bridge between the program delivery team, including executive leadership. This is a pivotal opportunity to contribute to a transformative program that aligns with the Council\'s strategic objectives and community vision.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic governance and oversight of the transformation portfolio, including end-to-end management of the project pipeline, initiation and prioritisation of projects, tracking critical activities, and providing independent quality assurance.
  • Drive ongoing uplift and continuous improvement of prescribed project governance frameworks.
  • Lead effective collaboration and communication from the Transformation Management Office to Executive Leadership, sponsors, and stakeholders.
About You
  • Experienced and strategic leader with a passion for governance and program management in complex environments.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive successful program outcomes.
  • History of delivering large-scale transformational programs with a focus on benefits realisation and risk management.
  • Able to inspire teams, collaborate across departments, and influence executive leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Program Management or similar.
  • Several years of experience in a consulting or government environment with a primary focus on program management and administration.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management tools and development of reports and dashboards for Executives, Management teams, and Project Managers.
  • Commitment to customer experience, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Preferred: National Police Record Check.
