About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide expert clinical knowledge and care for patients with a variety of conditions. The role supports the overall function of the unit through role modelling and applying principles of evidence-based, patient-focused care, education, leadership, and portfolio management. Additionally, it offers support and guidance to Registered Nurses and other non-registered nursing staff in complex situations.

About you

  1. Meet the responsibilities outlined in Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 Band 1, and align with Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values to achieve organizational goals and practice domains.
  2. Practice ethically and professionally, adhering to relevant standards and legislation, maintaining current knowledge and competence within the scope of practice.
  3. Apply advanced clinical nursing skills, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
