Your Opportunity

Mission Australia Housing provides social and affordable housing to vulnerable Australians, ensuring they have access to good quality housing that enables community participation.

We are seeking a Customer Support Officer to join our Housing Customer Support Hub. You will be the first point of contact for tenants, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring professional, supportive interactions focused on positive outcomes. Your responsibilities include responding to queries, providing accurate information, and managing organizational administrative functions under the guidance of the Customer Hub Manager.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality customer service with professionalism, respect, and empathy.
  2. Respond to enquiries efficiently, manage client expectations, and escalate complex issues as needed.
  3. Build positive relationships with clients, tenants, and stakeholders.
  4. Maintain accurate client records within CRM, Asset Management, and Data Management Systems.
  5. Perform administrative tasks thoroughly and efficiently.
  6. Use trauma-informed language and techniques to provide a high-quality experience for callers.
  7. Engage tenants in feedback discussions and participation in programs.
Requirements of Success
  1. Experience in high-volume, fast-paced customer service or contact centres, preferably within housing or community services.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to complex situations.
  3. Good administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  4. Ability to work empathetically with diverse communities using trauma-informed practices.
  5. Proficiency in data and case management systems and MS Office.
  6. Team player with the ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.
