Team Leader - Enforcement Operations Centre, NSW Sheriff's Office

  • Clerk Grade 5/6, base salary ($99,938 - $110,271) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role

The role leads the Enforcement Operations Centre (EOC), a key component of Civil Enforcement Command (CEC), by supervising statewide administrative functions, including service and execution tasks, sale of land coordination, and contact centre operations while resolving escalated client issues, managing high-level accounts administration and financial transactions, and fostering an ethical, high-performance environment to achieve quality service delivery and organisational goals. As a sworn Senior Sergeant, you will support field enforcement operations.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, develop and coach CEC and EOC teams to deliver high quality client services, aligned with business plans and Public Sector Management guidelines and departmental instructions.
  • Allocate resources effectively, monitor KPIs, and ensure work is completed to a high standard within required timeframes.
  • Lead change management initiatives, implement new policies and procedures, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Work with senior leaders and other business units to promote a client-first culture and provide operational advice and reporting.
  • Develop and deliver training to ensure staff meet legislative and procedural standards, including compliance with the Sheriff's Award.
  • Maintain accurate records, oversee financial and administrative processes, and promote a safe, ethical, and inclusive workplace culture.
What We're Looking For
  • Good understanding of legal principles and processes and the NSW court system.
  • Coordinate diverse enforcement and administrative functions while adapting to evolving policies and procedures.
  • Lead staff through change and fostering a client-first, values-driven workplace.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services under performance and resource pressures.
  • Develop staff skills and ensure compliance with training and legislative requirements.
Essential Requirements
  • Successful completion of the Sheriff's Officer Recruit Training Program.
  • Certificate III in Government to be completed within 12 months of commencement.
  • Willingness to obtain and complete a Certificate IV of Leadership and Management or equivalent qualification upon commencement.
  • Successful completion of tactical re-certification, and other prescribed training programs mandated in line with Clause 9 of the Crown Employees (Sheriff's Officer) Award 2024 as required.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence, with a Provisional P2 Licence as a minimum upon entry to service.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Meet the required health, physical and psychological requirements in accordance with agency standards.

The role is a sworn Sheriff's Officer for the purposes of the Sheriff Act 2005. The role is also classified as a senior non-commissioned officer under s14 of the Sheriff Act 2005.
