Position

Member Service Rep - Seasonal

Location: SummaCare E Market St, Akron, OH

Employment type: Full-Time / 40 Hours / Days

Note: TEMPORARY POSITION

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service to members and SummaCare customers; promptly answer questions and resolve concerns.
Formal Education Required

Ability to read, write and perform basic math.

Experience & Training Required
  • 6 months of experience performing same or similar responsibilities. Relevant experience includes: customer service experience in an information management industry, including call-center, receptionist or administrative support experience that includes customer service responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Customer Service practices and communicate effectively with others through written and verbal means.
  • Facilitate working in Windows and with organizing computer based information.
  • Balance a decisive, professional demeanor with a warm, non-confrontational customer-first attitude. Project empathy, confidence, proper tone, and service-oriented attitude over the telephone.
  • Operate standard office machines.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and practice knowledge of the health insurance industry, including governing rules and regulations.
  • Organize and manage time to complete tasks within designated time frames in a fast-paced environment.
  • Learn and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies & procedures; maintain confidentiality of member health information and business information.
  • Flexible: ability to adjust work hours to meet business demands.
  • Physical Demands: Sit for prolonged periods; bend, stoop, and stretch; lift up to 20 pounds; manual dexterity to operate computer, phones, and standard office machines.

Salary

$15.96/hr - $25.00/hr

The salary range on this job posting is base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical. Pay decisions consider factors such as experience and location.
