Supply Chain @ Sleeping Duck

We\'re on a mission to develop a world-class Supply Chain, bringing together a unique team with vast experience to design the best manufacturing processes and an incredible customer experience from how the stock is packaged to how it is delivered to the customer\'s door.

What's the role all about?

This role will be the conduit between our product suppliers and the warehouse and ensures the accurate and timely administration of the entire Supply Chain from purchasing raw materials to receiving completed products into our warehouses nationally.

The Supply Chain Operations Coordinator role is integral in creating continual improvements in the Supply Chain team. The role exists to support Supply Chain coordination, while enhancing our systems and processes and driving positive change.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the administration and coordination of the Supply Chain function
• Manage inbound freight into the USA including:
  • Customs documentation
  • Tariffs
  • Export flows
  • Delivery network upgrades
• Manage inventory levels across all USA warehouses
• Assist with demand planning for the USA market. Provide backup support for both USA and Australian supply planning.
• Undertake and review procurement activities.
• Effective supply and demand planning including management of planning tools.
• Manage the end-to-end process of International Freight; liaising with suppliers, holding them accountable to timelines, shipping processes and documentation, updating the business on any potential delays or changes that may arise.

• 5 years experience working in a supply chain environment. Will consider less depending on knowledge and capability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, preferably in English and Mandarin (most of our suppliers are China based).
• Experience with managing the end-to-end process of International Freight.
• High level skills in Excel / Google Sheets.
• High level understanding of freight forwarding.
• Experience in account and invoice auditing.
• Experience in demand and supply planning.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to extract data and forward plan procurement activities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising attention to detail.
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity at times and able to shift focus quickly when priorities change.
