Job overview

We are looking for a superstar Exercise Physiologist to join our expanding team in Macleod, Melbourne. This permanent part-time opportunity (~15 hours per week) offers a varied workload in a community based setting with potential to grow hours as you gain experience. Training and mentoring are available for those just starting out.

Living Energy Pilates & Exercise Physiology provides a range of Exercise Physiology and Pilates services including Clinical Pilates, Reformer Pilates, programs for Young Athletes, Bone Density (Onero), Osteoarthritis (GLAD), and services for Medicare / DVA / Workcover / TAC / NDIS clients. The goal is to support clients with conditions such as cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes and metabolic conditions, osteoporosis, mental health problems, oncology, arthritis, chronic pain, pre- and post-surgery rehabilitation, neuromuscular conditions, and pregnancy.

Responsibilities
  • Completing initial assessments and creating evidence-based exercise programs for clients
  • Assessing movement capacity across ages and health levels
  • Developing safe, effective individualized exercise interventions
  • Providing health education, advice and support to enhance health and wellbeing
  • Providing exercise intervention and advice for those at risk of chronic conditions or injuries
  • Managing communication with internal and external stakeholders
Who we are looking for

To be considered, you must be a qualified Exercise Physiologist with ESSA accreditation. The successful candidate will be confident, proactive, and capable of thinking creatively while showing empathy and compassion during rehabilitation. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with clients are essential. Current CPR and First Aid certificates are required. You must hold or be willing to obtain a current Working With Children Check and a current National Police Check prior to commencing.

  • Masters Degree (Required)
  • Exercise Physiologist accredited with ESSA (Required)
  • Current CPR and First Aid
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Employment details
  • Job type: Part-time, Permanent
  • Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
  • Location: Macleod, Melbourne
  • Employee mentoring program
