Unicorn Transport Equipment is an iconic brand in the West Australian automotive sector and has been manufacturing market leading steel & aluminium trays and accessory solutions for light commercial vehicles and trucks since 1984. Purpose of the RolePurpose of the Role: The Senior Sales role is designed to spearhead sales initiatives that strengthen relationships with existing clients and establish new ones across commercial, end-user and dealer networks. This position is key to leading sales efforts to develop, execute and measure activities that align with our company\'s proactive "Get Stuff Done" (GSD) plan.
Responsibilities- Business Account Management: Manage the entire sales process from the initial enquiry to the delivery of the final product. Responsibilities include stepping in to provide ETAs, manage vehicle bookings, and handling spare part orders at front desk, all whilst ensuring accuracy and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Retail Sales: Directly engage with customers who visit our showroom, or who reach out by phone or email, to understand their needs and recommend appropriate UTE products such as trays, canopies and toolboxes, in addition to general 4x4 accessories.
- Dealership Relations and Visits: Expect moderate travel (10-25%) to visit clients, aimed at maintaining and enhancing long-term business relationships with car dealerships across WA.
- Sales Tracking and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of quotes and customer interactions using spreadsheets, ensuring no customer is left unattended - keeping directors informed. Regularly present weekly and monthly sales reports to their superior.
- Pricing Management: Oversee the maintenance and updating of the dealer price list to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in our pricing strategy.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with the workshop and planning teams on complex builds, including holding prestart meetings and detailing job orders to ensure clear communication and fulfilment of customer expectations.
- Additional Responsibilities: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to adapt and inform sales strategies effectively.
- Provide essential administrative support, which may include preparing sales reports and managing customer databases.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.

- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a proven ability to connect with customers and build lasting relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships.
- Proficient in computer use with the capability to quickly learn new software.
- A proactive, team-player attitude with strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Possession of a current Australian Driver\'s Licence is mandatory.
