About the RoleWorking with a dedicated Assistant Manager, you'll be managing and growing relationships with the owners and decision makers of some of our largest and most sophisticated customers in the commercial mid-market.
Solving complex challenges, you'll build deep technical expertise across banking products such as working capital financing, trade finance, cash management and trade facilities. You'll also develop breadth, with exposure to customers with a national presence and unique needs across a range of industries.

What will your day look like?- Managing a portfolio of Emerging Corporate customers with a customer-centric approach
- Collaborating with Product Partners and the broader credit team to structure deals
- Building valued relationships with operations teams to build efficiencies and minimise non lending losses
- Applying strong credit and industry portfolio analysis skills towards credit proposal recommendations
- Managing compliance and assessing both new and existing transactions
- Adhering to Group Audit requirements, meeting QA and Audit compliance standards, and ensuring all matters raised are addressed in a timely and efficient manner
- Working closely with lending services to minimise provisions
- Demonstrating mastery of your specialisation, skills and capabilities within the Commercial mid-market & specialist segment domains
- Developing and maintaining a strong awareness of relevant industries, economic trends and market forces.

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Ability to build long-term client relationships supported by best of class customer satisfaction outcomes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage C-suite executives, business owners, and financial decision-makers
- Strong understanding of Commercial mid-market banking & lending products (e.g., working capital financing, trade finance, cash management, trade facilities) and ability to analyse financial statements
- Ability to identify financial opportunities for clients and recommend appropriate banking products and services
- Ability to negotiate and structure complex and customised banking deals
- Proficiency in evaluating the credit risk and managing the lending process, including structuring credit facilities
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management principles and how to mitigate risks
- Experience in leading relationships teams towards achieving client & business objectives.
