Key responsibilities
  • Oversee the care and presentation of a high-profile, award-winning horticultural site.
  • Operate modern tools and machinery, including zero-turn mowers, brush cutters, and blowers.
  • Perform routine tasks: mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, fertilising, and pest control.
  • Plan daily schedules and manage team workflows to ensure safe, efficient task completion.
  • Complete site paperwork: pre-starts, daily reports, Take 5s, and SWMS.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and uphold a professional image.
  • Maintain and repair irrigation systems, including programming and fault-finding.
  • Monitor plant and soil health, conduct testing, and apply treatments as needed.
  • Assist with seasonal planting and minor design updates to keep the site looking its best.
  • Identify and report site improvement opportunities or concerns.
  • Ensure WHS procedures are followed by all team members.
  • Conduct site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Help train and mentor junior team members.
What you will need
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens (Preferred)
  • Driver's licence (Manual or Automatic)
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
