About the Company

This large locally owned FMCG business sells its products through multiple channels including Supermarkets, Mass, Pharmacy, Convenience and Online channels. They sell locally and internationally and are a recognized FMCG supplier of leading health, personal care and wellbeing brands. This vacancy has come about due to an internal promotion.

About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include all the typical Account Executive functions ;

  • You will assist the NAM with all facets of reporting and analysis for the Metcash MSO's and emerging channels such as Amazon, Aldi, Costco
  • This role will get involved with key customers and IGA multi-site operators and work with the NAM on key customer presentations for Amazon, Aldi and Costco
  • Assist in the delivery of strategic objectives including sales targets, trade spend and budgets
  • This is a real career development opportunity to develop your FMCG account management career
  • Identify and develop new sales channels eg Reject shop and other alternate customers
  • Responsible for updating key reporting documents and tools within the team
  • Support the NAM in the smooth running of the independent grocery business including customer presentation prep and other administrative tasks as directed
  • This is a real development opportunity working in a great team.

About you

  • Previous experience in FMCG sales in Australia most likely from an independents field based role or an Account Exec/Analyst role currently
  • Presentation experience. Ability to craft a story using data.
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, adaptable, resilient, fast learner
  • Strong communication skills & confidence to relate with other people of different abilities and experience levels both internally & externally.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a wider team.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel
  • Knowledge of IRI/Circana data desirable but not essential
  • Some exposure to E-Commerce would be an advantage
