Position: Technical Project Manager - Data Analytics Services (Health Manager Level 4)

Employment Type: Full Time Exempt up to 4 years

Overview

As Technical Project Manager of our Data Analytics Services at eHealth NSW, you will be responsible for overseeing the risk, quality, and progress of ICT projects in alignment with organisational standards, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality and scope. This role supports onboarding state-wide data assets into the NSW Health Enterprise Data Lake (EDL), data asset migration to the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR), and adherence to data governance and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the delivery of complex ICT and data projects – ensuring they land on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and collaborate across NSW Health, Pillars, and external partners.
  • Manage risk, quality, and scope with a focus on embedding data governance and security standards.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders through clear communication, issue resolution, and trusted advice.
  • Champion continuous improvement by refining processes, unlocking value, and delivering benefits faster.
  • Foster strategic partnerships across teams, Directorates, Health agencies, and relevant external agencies.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has extensive experience managing medium to large and/or complex technical Data and Analytics projects in a large service organization, with project management qualifications or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within scope.
  • Has a strong technical background delivering data integration, analytics, and reporting projects on cloud platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
  • Understands data architecture, governance, analytics, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Has experience developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, reporting, risk management, and budget management.
  • Demonstrates superior organizational skills, ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills with a track record of engaging and aligning key stakeholders and customers.
