Overview

We are expanding and seeking a casual Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing team. This is a casual role requiring consistent in-person engagement with clients and working from home. The role involves developing and implementing behavior support plans, conducting assessments, and providing positive behavior support to clients. The practitioner will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure effective delivery of services. Day-to-day tasks include conducting functional behavior assessments, developing intervention strategies, monitoring client progress, and maintaining detailed documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement behavior support plans and conduct functional behavior assessments as a registered BSP (Core, Proficient or above).
  • Provide positive behaviour support to clients and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Conduct assessments in-person and remotely as required.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in developing and implementing behavior support plans and conducting functional behavior assessments as a registered BSP (Core, Proficient or above).
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in trauma-informed care, positive behaviour support, restrictive practices, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers.
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral challenges is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications or licensure in behavior analysis or a related field is beneficial.
