Job Description

Outcomes Connect Australia (OCA) expanded into Queensland from Victoria in 2024. We are continuing our expansion in 2025 and are building a team in New South Wales. For the NSW team, we are looking for entry level or early career Behaviour Support Practitioners who live in or close to the suburbs of Parramatta, Blacktown or Liverpool. We will consider people who already have an understanding of positive behaviour support under the NDIS, or have limited experience working as a registered Behaviour Support Practitioner and a sound knowledge of The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework for reducing the use of restrictive practices, along with a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based, functional behavioural outcomes.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will:

  • Support our clients (NDIS participants), along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
  • Identify meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
  • Ensure individual plans reflect our clients\' goals, passions and strengths
  • Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support our clients - family, carers, friends, etc
Why Join Us?
  • Fantastic team culture - a fun, supportive and quality-focused team which works together to achieve goals
  • Generous salary package - above award rates, rewards for outstanding work, great benefits (e.g. $600 annual Health and Wellbeing subsidy), access to salary packaging options and the latest technology to ensure you succeed
  • Personal and professional growth - support for ongoing professional development through our program, fortnightly PD sessions and weekly supervision with your Team Lead
  • Work-life balance - flexible work arrangements to plan your work to best suit your lifestyle while meeting the needs of your team and clients
About You
  • Current suitability (i.e. registration) with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner OR considerable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern (professionally and/or personally) and confident that you will meet all compliance checks to obtain suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner for a registered NDIS provider (e.g. obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check)
  • Demonstrated ability to work positively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Outstanding communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Confident computer skills
  • Flawless writing skills
  • Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
Qualifications
  • Degree level qualifications of relevance to providing support to people with behaviours of concern are highly preferred
