About The School

Emmanuel Christian Community School a co-educational K-12 institution in Perth's northern suburbs has been nurturing students since 1982 and now serves over 750 students. We invite applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary teachers for two parental leave covers. We welcome applications from recent or soon-to-be graduates.

Start Date: 1 January 2026

End Date: 31 December 2026.

This is a full-time fixed term contract, with the possibility for a permanent position in the future.

The successful applicants will have a passion for nurturing young children and demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to provide a warm, safe, and stimulating learning environment.

There will be opportunities for professional development and mentorship.

The successful applicant will:

  • actively demonstrate a commitment to promote the objectives and ethos of Christian Education as articulated in the Vision and Mission of the School.
  • be a Christian, belong to a church and called to this ministry.
  • demonstrate strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • demonstrate initiative, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Selection Criteria:

  • Application of research-based and evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in fostering student development.
  • Well-developed knowledge of literacy and numeracy teaching and learning in the primary years.
  • Responsive to the learning strengths and needs of students from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrates innovation in the learning environment.
  • Enhance learning through effective use of ICT.

  • Your philosophy of Teaching (maximum one page)
  • Registration with Teacher's Registration Board of WA (TRBWA)
  • Current Working with Children Card
  • National Police Clearance
  • Proof of Citizenship/Eligibility to work in Australia
