What this opportunity involves.

Working in a small portfolio team this role as Senior Facilities Manager will responsible for the day to day operations of a portfolio of commercial office buildings with a range of Commonwealth and Corporate tenants. As Senior FM the successful candidate will also mentor and drive their two direct reports.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a sound professional working relationship with our clients
  • Ensure and manage compliance with all relevant statutory authorities and enact appropriate engineering practices in relation to maintenance of the property structure, façade, fittings, finishes and services
  • Maximise the performance of the properties in terms of sustainability
  • Drive performance of the assets to ensure NABERS energy and water targets are achieved
  • Coordinate efficient management of all property services and other works required to be carried out within the assets
  • Undertake periodic inspections of the buildings and plant and determine the extent, and priority of any repair works required
  • Ongoing management of all specialist contractors to ensure they comply with their contract terms and conditions and nominated scope of works
  • In collaboration with others, prepare annual property operations & capital works budgets and monitor and update budgets on a quarterly basis
Qualifications
  • Proven facilities management experience in a commercial environment
  • Ready to manage a high-profile portfolio
  • A passion and understanding of sustainability
  • Good knowledge of property systems, including familiarity with building services software procedures
  • Knowledge of occupational health & safety legislation and requirements
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage time to meet deadlines
  • Desire to work as part of a diverse, supportive, and talented team of industry professionals
