THE OPPORTUNITY

Location: Kilcoy Cuisine Solutions | Bells Creek

We are looking for a skilled New Product Development Technologist to join our team at Kilcoy Cuisine Solutions at our Bells Creek facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Food Technologist—preferably with experience in raw meat proteins—to manage and oversee the entire New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle, from initial concept through to commercialisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  1. Manage all tasks associated with new product development from concept to commercialisation.
  2. Plan, manage, and assist in factory trials involving new products, new equipment, and new processes.
  3. Research, understand, and source required ingredients.
  4. Plan, formulate, and conduct benchtop trials.
  5. Design and conduct product evaluation and sensory analysis.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and Food Sciences (or similar).
  • Demonstrated meat protein experience (raw and cooked) in a similar role.
  • Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience preferred.
  • Ability to display excellent judgment, drive, initiative, and sense of urgency.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of R&D experience in the food industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP, FSANZ, food safety principles, and food technology principles.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated internal and external stakeholder management (essential).
  • Commercial and technical awareness of ingredients, processes, and customer requirements.
