Overview

Job opportunities for Motor Mechanics, Fitters and Technicians across multiple locations. Roles involve maintaining and repairing vehicles and machinery, mentoring teammates, and leading teams.

Responsibilities
  • Support a team of mechanics to ensure high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Provide mentoring and training to less experienced mechanics.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on client machines, including fault finding in hydraulics, electrical systems and mechanical components.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles and equipment; dismantle and reassemble gear systems as needed.
  • Lead and supervise a team of motor mechanics, including scheduling, performance monitoring and quality control.
  • Oversee repairs across light vehicles, heavy machinery, and plant equipment as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of auto-electrical systems and mechatronics; adapt to hybrid vehicles where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Trade qualification in mechanics, automotive or plant trades; experience in auto, diesel or small engines is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a qualified mechanic (apprentices with strong experience may be considered).
  • Education or certified training in mechanics, mechatronics or automotive program.
Work Details
  • Full-time, long-term opportunities; some roles may require weekend/holiday availability.
  • Locations include Bayswater, WA; Osborne Park, Balcatta, WA and other McIntosh & Son branches; FIFO options may apply where advertised.
  • Salary ranges vary by role and experience; examples include $73,100-$90,000 per year.
