About the role
RMEM Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Canning Vale, Western Australia. As a full time Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring the seamless operation of our engineering services
What you'll be doing
- Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a variety of mechanical equipment, including pulleys, pumps, mag separators, gearboxes and other industrial machinery
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints and manuals to carry out work accurately and efficiently
- Disassemble, inspect and reassemble machinery, replacing worn or damaged parts as necessary
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing appropriate solutions to resolve problems
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and share best practices
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
What we're looking for
- Australian qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum 5 years' of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial or engineering environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and specifications
- Familiarity with a range of tools, equipment, and machinery used in the engineering industry
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
