Alepat Taylor is a privately owned, highly respected and trusted industry partner in the beverage industry, with a long and successful history. Today, Alepat Taylor has operations across beverages manufacturing and wholesale distribution across Wine, Spirits, RTDs, Liqueurs and Beer, plus non-alcoholic products. We have an extensive Australian and Imported portfolio, exclusively representing some of the better-known brands and household favourites.We also have company-owned brands which have been established over the years such as Taylor Ferguson and others.

Our Wholesale Distribution division services on- and off-premise accounts (including national retailers and wholesalers, bars, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, bottle shops, hotels, corporates, independent retailers and more) across Australia.

We're undergoing a growth phase and seek exceptional people to help us continue to further develop our business with the exceptional brands we represent.

About the role

An opportunity has arisen within our Wholesale business for a full-time professional, who is highly motivated, experienced and knowledgeable in alcoholic beverages to join our team. The role will be focussed on managing and growing our business, developing opportunities on- and off-premise.

The position will report directly to the National Sales Manager. Ideally you are located in Metropolitan Melbourne.

Responsibilities will include (not limited to) the following:

  • Performing a regular call cycle (physical calls and digital communication) to develop business relationships.
  • Retaining, managing and growing the existing customer base.
  • Identifying and securing new accounts.
  • Utilising warm and cold leads, plus your existing network to achieve budgeted sales targets and continued growth above industry performance.
  • Developing, supporting and implementing innovative sales strategies based on growing long-term relationships
  • Supporting and implementing brand and product promotional programs
  • Working collaboratively with fellow team members to share brand and product knowledge, drive sales growth and retain customer accounts
  • Liaising with the warehouse department for specific customer delivery requirements.
  • Providing regular reports using agreed templates and CRM.
  • Overall, using your best endeavours to support customers in partnership, while promoting, protecting and growing the Alepat Taylor business as part of a driven and winning team.

What we are looking for:

  • A goal-driven, professional approach with a strong ability to develop new and existing relationships with multiple accounts in a strategic manner.
  • Exceptional communication skills and personal presentation.
  • A good understanding of the liquor industry, ideally through previous experience in sales and with a sound knowledge across all liquor categories.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a broader team – a better-together approach.
  • A motivated and confident work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude that demonstrates initiative and thinking outside the square.
  • The ability to take ownership of allocated work tasks and deadlines, with attention to detail.
  • Highly valued is an existing network and relationships across on-premise and off-premise accounts within Melbourne.
