Accountant (TAX) - No sponsorship and onshore candidates only

Note: This is a client-facing role with a Senior Accountant; onshore Australia-based candidates only.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a designated portfolio of clients from bookkeeping, BAS, small business advice through to completion of financial accounts and tax returns.
  • Work closely with a Senior Accountant as part of a client-facing team.
  • Input into tax planning, succession and estate planning, asset protection, business structures and restructuring.
  • Build rapport with clients, network partners and colleagues; communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Participate in structured professional development, tax training and workshops.
Qualifications
  • Approximately 5 years of continuous experience in a CPA/CA/IPA firm in Public Practice accounting and tax compliance.
  • Analytical and proficient in understanding business structures; preparation of financial statements, tax returns and activity statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Individuals. SMSFs not essential.
  • Knowledge of CGT small business concessions, FBT, GST, Div.7A.
  • Good working knowledge of MYOB AE, MYOB, Xero and MS Office suite.
  • Fluent English; exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
  • Onshore in Australia; willingness to be based in Melbourne area as required.
