Overview

Sample Receipt Assistant at SGS Australia, based in Alexandria, NSW. An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, hands-on individual. The position may be offered as casual or permanent full-time, depending on the candidate's suitability. Responsibilities
  • Sorting samples upon arrival and ensuring samples are identified, labelled, temperature is taken and stored correctly.
  • Pre-registration and/or full registration in SLIM.
  • Providing assistance and support to the team by logging in and/or cross-checking entries.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure satisfactory, customer-focused services are provided.
  • Ensuring all sample containers are cleaned and housekeeping is maintained to prevent contamination during log-in and sub-sampling processes.
  • Training new staff in appropriate procedures.
  • Ensuring standards of quality are applied in line with SGS's quality policy and NATA accreditation requirements.
  • Ensuring that safety equipment is used where necessary, correctly, and at all times.
  • Performing other duties as directed by the Sample Administration Manager.
Qualifications
  • No formal degree is required – if you have an interest in laboratory work, a willingness to learn, and are coachable, we encourage you to apply.
  • High school graduates, school leavers, and those with TAFE-level qualifications are welcome.
  • Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Capability and willingness to perform manual handling and lifting tasks.
  • A valid driver's license is essential.
  • Flexibility to work morning or afternoon rosters.
