Sample Manager Specialist

The Laboratory / Sample Management Technician will be responsible for the receipt, labeling, logging, and storage of samples and reagents in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
Key responsibilities include ensuring appropriate storage conditions, managing storage space across temperature ranges, maintaining chain of custody, verifying delivery/shipment conditions, reporting discrepancies, preparing shipments, and documenting sample destruction.
The role also involves supporting lab operations by performing tasks such as sample preparation, cryopreservation, thawing, and counting, as well as preparing solutions/reagents. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for equipment maintenance, inventory management, and file archiving.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Strong background in laboratory sciences
- Experience working in a biological safety cabinet under sterile conditions
- Previous experience with Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC) isolation, cryopreservation, thawing, and counting with a hemocytometer
- Ability to work in a Good Laboratory Practice/Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GLP/GCLP) environment and maintain accurate records
