Overview

Parklife Metro JV is leading the delivery of the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport project, a landmark transport initiative that will link St Marys to Bradfield and connect with the new Western Sydney Airport. The project is a joint venture between Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild, and includes six new stations, 12 metro trains, advanced rail systems, and a modern stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills. This is the largest public-private partnership (PPP) ever awarded in New South Wales, valued at $5 billion. Employed by Webuild, Parklife Metro is seeking a Senior Document Controller to join our team based at our Sydney CBD Office.

As a Senior Document Controller, you will be responsible for document control deliverables and the technical accuracy of project documentation and reporting. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose document control services, compliant with company requirements. This is a leadership opportunity within a major infrastructure project.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the training of project resources in relevant processes and systems.
  • Support the Lead with onboarding of new document controllers, providing process and system training.
  • Be responsible for the technical document compilation for tender packages.
  • Onboard new suppliers/subcontractors, including the delivery and training of project requirements.
  • Oversee system access onboarding and offboarding within the given area.
  • Run and review weekly auditing and expediting reports, ensuring timely close-out of actions.
  • Maintain positive business relationships to achieve mutually satisfactory outcomes.
  • Oversee a small team, providing training, support and task prioritisation.
  • Deliver technically acceptable document control services for approved work to ensure high client satisfaction and alignment with company needs.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of DC systems across the division.
  • Liaise regularly with the manager to report progress, issues, and potential changes.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork within the DC team and wider organisation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of document control experience on major projects within the same or similar industry; experience managing a small team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (spreadsheets, databases, word processing) and job-specific software (e.g., Team Binder, Aconex) with the ability to rapidly input data to the client's repository and retrieve records for accurate distribution.
  • Ability to organise workload and manage filing methods and management techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • High level of time management and attention to detail, with the ability to handle conflicting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with internal JV and subcontractor entities and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work within a team or autonomously and to provide awareness and orientation of the company's documents system to all involved parties, including subcontractors.
