We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a skilled and dedicated School General Maintenance professional to join our team at Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) in Thornton, NSW. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our school facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our students and staff.
What you'll be doing- Performing general maintenance and repair tasks such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work
- Completing routine inspections and identifying any issues or areas requiring attention
- Liaising with external contractors and service providers as needed
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
- Assisting with the setup and pack-up of school events and activities
- Providing general support to the school's operations as required
- Relevant experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role, preferably within an education or community services setting
- Strong practical skills and the ability to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work within the school's operational hours
