Job Title: School Facilities Manager

As a key member of our team, the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining our school's grounds and buildings to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.

The role involves undertaking various tasks such as lawn mowing, hedging, weeding, and repairing minor plumbing and electrical issues.

  • Maintenance of site facilities, including playgrounds, carparks, and front driveways.
  • Whipping and edging of mowed areas.
  • Hedging of school gardens and plants and trees onsite.
  • Weeding and garden clean-ups as required.
  • Blowing of school hard surfaces, including carpark and driveway.
  • Some weed spraying in holiday periods.
  • Cleaning of buildings and hard surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of school facilities.
  • Identify and report any maintenance requirements or defects.
  • Operate machinery/equipment relating to building maintenance.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Requirements:
  • Experience in general maintenance of grounds/buildings.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general trade maintenance.
  • Understanding of machinery/equipment operation relating to building maintenance.
  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Trade background is desirable.
  • Current driver's licence and use of own vehicle.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment.
  • You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.
