Job Title: School Caretaker

We are seeking a reliable and proactive professional to join our dedicated team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and security of school buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of school buildings and grounds.
  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
  • Ensure all areas are safe and accessible.
  • Manage deliveries, waste disposal, and stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Open and close the premises daily.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a caretaker or in a facilities/maintenance role.
  • Strong practical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings or evenings if needed.
