Overview

Contract Administrator/Estimator role at Design Build – Design & Build are seeking a Estimator/Contract Administrator to join a growing residential builder known for delivering architecturally-designed homes valued up to $6m across Melbourne's inner eastern suburbs. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for managing the full Estimating and Contracts Administration process on luxury residential projects. You'll be working closely with the Director and the broader project team, contributing to the businesses success. The company is currently in a growth phase as they expand their presence in the market, making it an exciting time to join

Responsibilities
  • Analyse architectural plans, specifications, and other project documentation to develop accurate cost estimates for high-end residential construction projects
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, material pricing, and labour estimates for various trades and scopes of work
  • Prepare, review, and administer contracts, including subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and variations
  • Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and selecting suitable suppliers
  • Monitor project costs, track variations, and provide accurate and timely reports on project financials
  • Manage progress claims, invoicing, and ensure timely payment to subcontractors and suppliers
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years' experience as a Estimator/Contract Administrator across architecturally designed residential projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing
  • Excellent attention to detail - able to pick up on inconsistencies or issues early
  • Proficiency using Procore
  • A proactive, accountable approach - you manage your own time and deliver reliable
