About the role Our client is a civil contractor delivering major road, rail and infrastructure projects across Victoria.
To support their growing tender pipeline, we are seeking Senior Estimators and Estimators with a proven record of preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities Preparing detailed estimates: review drawings, specifications and scope documents to produce detailed first principles cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects.
Supplier & subcontractor pricing: obtain and evaluate quotations; build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Identify cost risks, apply contingencies and propose value‑engineering alternatives.
Assemble complete tender packages, including methodology, pricing schedules and clarifications; coordinate inputs from engineering, procurement and construction teams.
Lead tender strategy, mentor junior estimators, coordinate estimate reviews with management and negotiate final pricing with clients.
What We're Looking For Minimum 5years' experience preparing estimates for civil construction projects (roads, rail, earthworks, water or structures) in Australia.
Strong skills in estimating software (e.g.
Cost X, Buildsoft, Candy), Microsoft Excel and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or a related discipline (preferred).
Ability to liaise effectively with engineers, project managers, clients and suppliers.
Rigorous approach to measurement, pricing and tender documentation.
Short‑listed candidates will undergo pre‑employment checks in line with position requirements.
