As we continue to expand, we are on the hunt for a Senior Estimator to join our team working out of our Brooklyn office.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and guide the team with pre contracts and business development activities; Work with the team to fine tune our processes and help develop a strong work winning ethic; Help develop strong connections between precontracts and delivery; Review tender documentation and information; Interpret specification and standards and assess their impact on project costs; Quantification and costing of construction work; Quantity take-off and preparing bills of quantities; Prepare estimates, quantities, prices, costing for projects; Interface with project managers and engineers to best manage risks and opportunities; Understand and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
Translate drawings for purposes of tendering, procurement, resourcing, project scheduling and risk identification; Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and suppliers; Analyse materials, products, or qualitative or quantitative work outputs for quality, accuracy, and completeness; Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
About YouThis position would suit a candidate who possesses the following:You have experience within the construction industry in particular civil, soil and the environmental space; You are self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality; You are reliable, motivated, and determined; You have the ability to confidently discuss technical and commercial issues internally and with clients; You have team management experience; You have the ability to identify and develop opportunities to help the business grow; You have the relevant formal qualifications.
