About the role
This is an opportunity to join CALHN Pharmacy as a Senior Pharmacist in the Emergency Department.
You will work with an established team to provide clinical pharmacy services in a seven-day, extended hours roster (8:45 am to 9 pm) across three shifts per day.
The role focuses on patient and medication safety through patient-centred care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Support for Partnered Pharmacist Medication Prescribing is available for successful candidates.
You will utilize critical thinking in clinical decision-making, demonstrate high attention to detail, and commit to professional development.
You will also have access to the full range of CALHN Pharmacy expertise, including dispensing, electronic medication management, manufacturing, investigational drugs, clinical, and medication governance teams.
About You
We seek a motivated and experienced Senior Pharmacist to provide high-quality pharmacy services and leadership within a hospital setting.
Key Requirements :

Qualifications & Registration – Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
Skills & Abilities – Strong communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
Experience – Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including leadership, supervision, and management responsibilities.
Knowledge & Competence – In-depth knowledge of pharmacy practice, relevant standards, and the ability to educate, train, and drive service improvement.
