Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to drive excellence in health, safety and environmental management across our operations.

About the Role

In this position, you will work closely with program managers supporting our contracts. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing protocols tailored to operational contexts, ensuring alignment with defence standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HSE protocols tailored to operational contexts.
  • Guide risk assessments, incident investigations, and audit activities in high-risk domains.
  • Advise on HSE considerations throughout asset lifecycle planning, procurement, and sustainment.
  • Interpret legislation, apply ISO standards (14001, 45001), and analyse HSE data to identify emerging risks and drive improvement.
Your Requirements
  • Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • AQF Level 4 Qualification or Equivalent in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Risk Management or engineering-related qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferably within Defence or high-risk industries.
  • Strong understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and incident investigation methodologies.
  • Competent in using HSEQ management systems including accurate data entry and event management.
