About the role JW Hydraulic and Mechanical is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic and or an Apprentice to join our team in Queanbeyan, NSW.
This is a full-time position and will involve the maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
What you'll be doing Diagnose, service and repair heavy vehicles, plant and equipment according to manufacturer specifications Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections on machinery and vehicles Liaise with clients to understand repair requirements and provide progress updates Source and order parts and materials as needed to complete repairs Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in a safe manner Maintain detailed records of work completed What we're looking for Formal qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or a related automotive trade 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions and other heavy vehicle components Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients & team members A current driver's licence and your own tools What we offer At JW Hydraulic and Mechanical, we provide a supportive and collaborative work environment with opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.
