Landscape Gardener Apprentice - 1st - 3rd Year

Keeping in line with a passion to raise the next generation of quality Horticulture and property maintenance experts we are pleased to open up another position within our company.

Reporting to the Managing Director or Leading Hand you will participate in the day to day operations.

You will be released with pay to attend a registered training course as required.

Operational tasks and opportunities
- Maintain and care for gardens and other property surroundings to the highest possible standard
- Help develop existing gardens to the best they can be
- Hedging and Pruning (by hand and machinery)
- Small tractor and zero turn mower use
- Have a passion for plants
- Learning about and treatment of pests and diseases
- Irrigation implementation and maintenance
- Have an interest to perform some landscaping such as paving, fencing, brick laying, retaining walls.
- Be willing to learn and perform some vehicle and tool maintenance
- And more

Personal attributes desired:

- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Develop an eye for details and ability to work within set time frames
- Willing to work unsupervised in time and be highly motivated
- Wanting to contribute to the team as a whole and develop individual skills
