Your Role At Cylo, our strategic approach to cyber risk management forms the foundation of everything we do — from product design to client engagement.
By integrating deep cybersecurity insight, specialist cyber insurance expertise, and robust incident response services, we enable businesses to identify, manage, and reduce their cyber risk exposure.
As a Senior Underwriter, you'll play a key role in this mission, combining underwriting precision with broker relationship leadership to drive both portfolio performance and market impact.
You'll be responsible for underwriting complex cyber risks while leading the execution of broker distribution, sales, and retention strategies—particularly across Cylo's Northern Region.
You'll manage key broker accounts, oversee the implementation of Broker Partnership Agreements, and maintain our Salesforce CRM to ensure seamless pipeline and lead tracking.
Acting as both a technical expert and a market-facing ambassador, you'll also support broker onboarding, education, and engagement by delivering value-aligned propositions, insights, and training.
You'll collaborate closely with the Head of Underwriting on referrals, renewals, and quality assurance, contributing to the broader performance and direction of the portfolio.
In addition, you'll help shape Cylo's future-state assurance strategy and explore emerging digital distribution channels.
Your ability to translate complex risk into actionable underwriting decisions — while strengthening strategic broker relationships — will directly support Cylo's goal of redefining how businesses manage and mitigate cyber risk.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity and we welcome applications from Gadigal Country (Sydney).
About You5+ years of senior underwriting experience in cyber insurance or closely related specialties such as financial/professional lines.
Strong technical knowledge of cyber risk pricing, selection, and insurance product design.
Proven success building and managing broker relationships within the general insurance market.
Commercially minded, with experience delivering retention and growth strategies through distribution.
Proficient in Salesforce CRM, reporting tools, and data-driven decision making.
Tertiary or Cyber Insurance qualifications preferred; a demonstrated commitment to ongoing technical and professional development.
