Project Manager (Control Systems)Location: Portland, Victoria Working hours: Monday - Friday (office hours)Project: Alumina Smelter brownfield projects Duration: 12 months casual contract Key accountabilities: Demonstrates full commitment to health and safety, providing safety leadership to the project team.
Leads and mentors a multi-disciplinary, multi-location project team, defining roles, responsibilities, and training.
Sets clear project objectives, including scope, schedule, productivity, and budget targets.
Ensures adherence to company's methodologies, processes, tools, and compliance requirements throughout the project.
Oversees project execution by applying knowledge of engineering, procurement, quality control, and other disciplines.
Tracks project cost, schedule, and design deliverables, using analytical skills to forecast trends and monitor gross margin.
Ensures proper change control and understands contract terms, company cash flow, and financial reporting standards.
Candidate criteria: Qualification in relevant engineering discipline.
Based in, or willingness to relocate to Portland, VIC (or surrounds).
Demonstrated project management experience leading small and medium projects or portions of large projects; EPCM, EPC including site assignments (projects up to US$5 M to US$10 M in total value).
Proven experience managing multiple projects at different phases.
Advanced understanding of systems, processes, and tools related to field.
PLC Project Manager experience: Experience with Rockwell Contol Logix PLCs, Powerflex drives, and Ethernet IO.
Experience with PLC5 architecture would be highly regarded.
Experience with AVEVA Plant CADA would be advantageous.
