About The Role This role is responsible for delivering frontline technical assistance across Engineers Australia's computer systems, networks, and devices.
From resolving hardware and software issues to supporting telecommunication, AV, and video conferencing needs, the role ensures seamless day-to-day technology operations for staff working both remotely and on-site.
By evaluating user needs, addressing incidents, and collaborating with the wider IT team, this role plays a key part in maintaining an efficient, reliable, and user-friendly IT environment.
Location This role is based in Sydney, with a hybrid working model of minimum 2 days onsite.
In This Role You Will Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide frontline support for LANs, WANs, desktop systems, Microsoft applications, AV/VC, internet connectivity, password resets, and hardware/software faults.
User Onboarding & Equipment Setup: Set up staff accounts, logins, and ICT equipment at desks; assist with relocations and assess equipment for safety.
Vendor & Asset Management: Engage third-party vendors for issue resolution, maintain stock of ICT supplies, and manage software licences and support records.
Documentation & Process Improvement: Develop and maintain support documentation (e.g., how-to guides, training materials), and suggest improvements to support processes.
Training & Knowledge Sharing: Deliver training as needed and contribute to the creation of educational resources in collaboration with the Service Delivery team.
Here's What We're Looking For Strong Communication & Customer Focus: Confident engaging with diverse stakeholders and delivering excellent customer service.
Current IT Knowledge: Up-to-date with the latest IT and software trends.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Skilled in issue prioritisation, escalation, and resolution.
Technical Expertise: Proficient in technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, Share Point, VPNs, Webex, Mitel, Intune, and software deployment.
Collaborative & Technical Aptitude: Builds strong relationships, with deep hardware/software knowledge; experience with Power Shell and automation is a plus.
