The Role In this dynamic and impactful role, you will: Lead, support, and grow a high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
Oversee the design, development, and delivery of innovative aerospace technologies that push the boundaries of what's possible.
Contribute to internal business planning and strategic decision-making, ensuring engineering perspectives are well represented.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and suppliers, to support engineering outcomes.
Provide thoughtful oversight and review of project and program plans, including technical scope, timelines, and budgets.
Co-chair internal design reviews alongside the Chief Technical Officer, promoting open dialogue and shared accountability.
Collaborate closely with the leadership team to align engineering initiatives with the company's long-term vision and values.
Champion a culture of innovation, safety, and quality across all engineering functions.

What you'll bring to the role: A degree in Engineering or a STEM-related discipline.
Demonstrated leadership experience in engineering management, ideally with 10+ years in a professional setting.
Strong technical expertise in aircraft or spacecraft systems.
Experience growing and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
A supportive, hands-on leadership style that empowers others and drives results.
A passion for innovation and a forward-thinking approach to the future of aerospace.
Experience in recruitment, performance management, and team development, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire.
A logical and analytical approach to solving complex technical challenges.
Adaptability and sound judgment in decision-making, especially in dynamic environments.
Self-motivation, resilience, and a results-driven mindset.
Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
Supplementary requirements Driver's License, preferred.
Background checks, including Australian National Police clearance check.
