Role Overview

This senior leadership position oversees the development and integration of advanced flight control systems and avionics across aerospace vehicles. Key responsibilities include leading a team of engineers, championing technical excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring successful project delivery from concept to flight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Head of Engineering to grow a high-performing GNC & Avionics team.
  • Develop, qualify and operate subsystems for flight control, guidance, navigation, communications, ground control, instrumentation and power.
  • Deliver modelling and simulation tools and outputs to quantify vehicle performance, assess vehicle design trades, perform flight safety analysis, and inform requirements generation and compliance assessments.
  • Conduct system architecture trades for current and future products.
  • Act as the technical authority for GNC, software and avionics.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience in an engineering leadership position, minimum 8 years of hands-on engineering experience in hypersonics, aircraft or spacecraft programs, and deep domain knowledge in aerospace systems.

  • Proficiency in simulation and modelling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++ or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as Microsoft Office, Jira, and MS Project.
