As the E-commerce Merchandise Manager you will be responsible for ensuring products are merchandised effectively on the website.
What YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKEYou will be the key point of contact for product and category enrichment via PIM and support a team of E-commerce Merchandise Coordinators to deliver products to the website, ensuring all items are enriched, accurately located, and optimised for sales performance.
Leading partnerships across David Jones & suppliers to ensure David Jones has remarkable website merchandising standards that continue to evolve as customer shopping behaviors evolve Understand customer shopping behaviors via multiple data points to make data driven decisions on improving website merchandising and product discovery Bringing our merchandise product to life on our E-commerce channels by ensuring all products are accurately categorised in our online hierarchy to support trade KPIs and customer experience Maintain and ensure all products are optimised and enriched with relevant information to ensure discoverability via Site Search, Brand, Category, & Site navigation Maintain and establish e-commerce merchandising best practices across departments Manage and ensure completion of enriched & optimised product attributes including title, description, and other relevant features & benefits Establish and maintain consistent product imagery across products in line with web guidelines Work with the User Experience team, and external data agencies to continue to optimise product category navigation Manage product, brand, and category optimisations in line with Trade planning across all departments and supporting with key trade stakeholders Support stakeholders across the business to supply online products via PIMBringing new brands to the website setting them up for ongoing trade success Stay across SEO best practice and ensure team adherence to improved optimisation briefed by internal SEO team or external agencies Assisting the Ecommerce Trade team with any optimisations needed to drive trade success Supporting Trade and Operations teams to align with business priorities and improved ways of working Assisting with the setup of key marketing campaigns, ie Black Friday, Boxing Day, Click Frenzy.
Develop and support a team of junior talent to create best practice processes and establish consistent ways of working to drive optimal business and customer outcomes What YOU'LL NEED TO THRIVEBackground and experience in a similar role An understanding of the Ecommerce landscape in Australia and other similar markets Understanding of SEO and how product information feeds into SEO strategy Strong activation skills and a desire to execute flawlessly Ability to develop and support a team Create and maintain guidelines to improve ways of working Knowledge of site search and product attributes to support accurate results Fastidious organisation and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Why work for us?Our purpose at David Jones is to 'inspire like no other', and culturally we aspire to be THRIVING.
