Citadines on Bourke Melbourne, located in the heart of Melbourne's city centre, is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated person to join the Conference and Events team as a Conference & Events Officer. The successful candidate will be part of a tight-knit, supportive team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing accurate and timely quotations for conferences and events, covering room hire, catering, audio-visual, and other service requirements.
  • Coordinating all aspects of events including site inspections, client liaison, event orders, and on-the-day facilitation.
  • Managing financial processes such as PMS account setup, invoicing, deposit tracking, and cost control.
  • Collaborating with the Sales & Marketing team to support business development and maintain high service standards.
  • Maintaining compliance with safety procedures and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the conference team.

Ideally you must have:

  • Previous experience in conference and event coordination, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client bookings and updates.
  • A sound understanding of invoicing processes, budgeting, and the use of property management systems (PMS).
  • A proactive and customer-focused mindset, committed to delivering exceptional service and continuous process improvement.
