Add expected salary to your profile for insights The Perkins is seeking a Senior Manager, Governance to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of significant governance improvements across the Institute.
This new position is offered on a full time permanent basis, located at our state-of the-art medical research facilities in Nedlands.
About this role Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Senior Manager, Governance will improve the operational effectiveness, compliance, accountability and decision-making of the Institute by providing strategic leadership and governance expertise across policies, contract and document management, data, Facilities Management, and space allocation.
This role would suit a strong collaborator and natural problem-solver who is detail-orientated and passionate about systems of work to improve quality, performance, and consultation.
Key priorities for the successful candidate will include: Leading the review, re-establishment and effective functioning of Facilities Management governance committees.
Conducting a gap analysis of existing policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
Leading the development, implementation, management and continuous improvement of frameworks for the Institute's policies, document management and storage, data governance, and contract management.
Leading the development and management of strategies, policies, systems, and processes for the strategic allocation of space within the Perkins buildings.
To be successful in this role, you'll have: Previously developed and implemented governance frameworks and stakeholder committees across diverse areas (e.g.
facilities, policy, data, documentation, contracts) to improve collaboration, accountability, consultation and strategic decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to positively drive organisational change.
Highly developed analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong background in policy development, implementation, documentation controls, and gap analysis, including the ability to interpret and apply different legislative and compliance requirements.
An in-depth knowledge of contract lifecycle management.
Experience implementing and managing document management systems to share information.
Experience in data governance, including data lifecycle management.
A satisfactory National Police Certificate less than 3 months old.
