Please note this position is being advertised as dual position CYMHS Allied Health Professional (528808) and/Clinical Nurse Specialist(528808d) - Head to Health Kids Practitioner and only one position will be filled on merit.
The Team: Head to Health Kids Tasmania is an integrated secondary level mental health service for emerging complexity for the 0-12 year age group and represents an important addition to a child and family mental health stepped care model in Tasmania.
This early intervention service enables families to access a range of evidence based individual and group interventions and supports for mild to moderate emotional, behavioural, social, relational, and developmental challenges.
The service works with families, and universal, secondary, and tertiary service providers, to provide integrated and holistic care.
The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) is a key co-service partner.
The Role: As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will: Undertake the delivery of specialist services to clients of Child and Adolescents Mental Health Services (CAMHS) based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework and promotes community awareness in relation to mental health.
Provide clinical leadership and expert knowledge in all aspects of primary health care, utilising an advanced clinical practice framework for the management of clients with complex mental health needs within the designated area of practice.
Develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate programs and activities to improve client outcomes within the multidisciplinary team.

You will need to: Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical service through the provision of assessment, case management and individual therapies, including specialised therapies for clients and their families or carers.
Develop, monitor and evaluate clinical outcome measures, manage complex clinical issues and make recommendations on matters relating to the areas of clinical specialty.
Participate in the multi-disciplinary team review of current clients, including supporting staff in the development, monitoring and evaluation of clinical outcome measures.

Salary:$106,570 - $112,440 per annum.
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type Salary Packaging You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

More information about our Employee Benefits can be found here Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital-based program that lead to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom Current Working with Children Registration*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
